How the Daily Challenge Works

The Daily Challenge is one puzzle per day — the same puzzle for every player in the world, chosen by the date. No accounts, no sign-up: your streak lives in your browser.

What kind of puzzle is it today?

The puzzle type rotates on a fixed schedule: one day a Cipher Breaker, the next a Pattern Sequence, the next a 4×4 Logic Grid, then back again. Because the puzzle is picked from the date, everyone who plays on the same day gets the same challenge — and yesterday's puzzle is gone for good.

How streaks work

Tries and hints

You get three tries per daily puzzle. Hints are unlimited but each one costs you a star in your share result: three stars for a hint-free solve, two for one hint, one for two or more.

Sharing your result

After a win, a share text appears: the date, the game type, your time, your hints, and a row of green and white squares showing your stars. Copy it and post it anywhere — it reveals nothing about the solution, so it never spoils the puzzle for others.

A note on time zones

"Today" follows the UTC date, so the puzzle flips at midnight UTC. If you play late at night, check which date is shown on the page.
